Clark Fork Report – 6/21

L-4REPORT:

The Clark Fork has been fishing like the Clark of old lately and that’s a VERY good thing!  It’s been awhile.  Blizzard hatches on the upper and lower river are keeping the fish looking to the surface HUGE from about 11 right up until dark on the warm evenings anyway.  More like until about 5 in the cloudy cooler weather.  The morning are fishing extremely well with nymph rigs that include brown silli legs, olive p-tails and fastwater prince type stuff.  Once noon hits, well presented golden stones, PMDs or green drakes will tag you fish all day long.  The river is seeing a slight bump today so things may not be what they have been the past 2 days, but they’ll still be pretty good.  Flows should begin falling again tomorrow, then it’s back to game on.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

HATCHES: Salmonflies, drakes, PMDs, caddis, even a few hoppers on the warm afternoons.
