Clark Fork River Fishing Report – 4/13

Clark Fork River Fishing Report - 3/27

Guided Fly Fishing Bitterroot river

With the weather on tap for today, I think fishing is a good way to spend your Monday.  Today’s flow on the Clark Fork just above Missoula is still hovering around 4000cfs and should see a small push of water from today’s weather, but nothing serious.  You can expect some good March brown and Skwala action with the cloud cover and warmer temps in the afternoon.  For the skwalas and March browns use a Parachute adams, rogue skwala, carnage skwala, Gould’s half down, GT emerger, Grey cripple, Parachute Pheasant tail, or a purple haze. For subsurface bugs, toss some egg patterns, San Juan worms, Olive double beaded stones, Pat’s rubber legs, Micro stones, Hares ears, and prince nymphs. Streamers on the upper section above town have been very productive with sparkle minnows, sculpzillas, standard buggers, and yellow yummies.
