REPORTS:

Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!

The Clark Fork is on the rebound.  The flow just above town is at 4400 cfs and the clarity is still improving.  Most of the fishing has been in the back channels and close to the banks.  The upper river is going to be the most manageable for wade fishing, and seems to be fishing the best with streamers and nymphs. Tandem nymph rigs are working better than solo rigs with red copper Johns, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, Skwala nymphs, San Juan worms and micro stones.  The streamer fishing is getting better as the flows stabilize too, you can expect black and olive buggers and sculpin patterns to fish well.

Browns Lake is iced off, open and fishing well. However, the private land owners surrounding Browns Lake are now enforcing their NO trespass rights.  All the bank fishing with the exception of the public land at the south and east sides of the lake is now closed to walking.  We have provided a map showing the property lines and places to legally access the lake.  The boundaries highlighted with green are open to the public.
