Clark Fork River Fishing Report – 5/30

Bitterroot River Fishing Report - 3/29

L-DSCN0004

With the warmer weather and chance of showers forecast through the weekend, you can count on the Clark Fork to keep rising bit by bit.  The clarity has diminished considerably with the increase in flows.  The fishing has been very limited, mostly to the back and side channels and any slow water close to the banks or mouths of tributaries you can find.  A dry/dropper rig has been a good bet for all day fishing with a big chubby on top. For streamers, sculpzillas, mouthwashes, krelix minnows, sparkle minnows, and standard buggers will all be good bets in the slower water. For nymphs, drop big stonefly nymphs, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan worms, big copper johns, psycho princes, and Batman nymphs.  If you do see any drys coming off be prepared with some drakes, BWOs, and caddis for the evening.

HATCHES: Drakes, a few BWOs, caddis
