The Clark Fork has been dropping quick the last few days.  The flow below town is under 9000cfs and should continue to drop until we get another dose of warm weather.  Dry/dropper rigs and tandem nymphs have been fishing the best hands down, but the dry fly fishing is definitely present so be prepared with some march brown, grey drake, and skwala patterns. For dries, big parachute adams, olive and purple chubbies, extended body drakes, and purple hazes have been working well. For subsurface patterns use prince nymphs, Pheasant tails, Egg patterns, San Juan worms, Double beaded stones, Pat’s rubber legs, Red fox squirrels, and hares ear nymphs. If you’re looking for some bigger fish, streamers have been the name of the game. Use Krelex minnows, sparkle minnows, two tone buggers, and double bunnies.
