Clark Fork River Fishing Report – 5/25

Bitterroot Fishing Report - 4/21

L-BR-L-12

Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!

The upper sections of the Clark Fork are spiking hard, and the lower should follow suit this weekend. It’s big flows and dirty water right now. We’ve seen some salmonflies buzzing around a bit, but finding still water is a better choice. Beavertail pond and Georgetown Lake would be decent options. Woolly buggers and scuds under an indicator are always a good bet on lakes. A parachute adams, purple haze or big Goddard caddis should work on top when fished with a 12ft or longer leader.
