Clark Fork River Fishing Report – 6/19

Guide Fly Fishing Missoula

The Clark Fork is still a little high and off color with a flow of 7800 cfs above town.  The upper sections or anywhere downstream of a clean running tributary has been a much better bet.  If you’re working the clean tributary water, be very thorough and work all the water with a tandem nymph rig.  For the upper Sections, Use streamers and nymphs and keep your rig tight to the bank.  For streamers use olive or black sculpzillas, JJ’s special, standard buggers, mouthwashes and double bunnies.  For nymphs, use pheasant tails, copper johns, prince nymphs, micro stones and batman nymphs.
