Clark Fork River Fishing Report – 6/3

L-DSC_1009
Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!

The Clark Fork is dropping quite a bit with the colder weather we’ve been having.  The main stem is still going to have poor fishing but if you can head to the upper section or just below clean running tributaries, you should be able to find a couple fish.  Tossing nymphs or ripping streamers is going to be your best bet with the poor clarity. For streamers use a JJ’s special, olive or tan super buggers, sculpzillas, standard buggers or an articulated pattern.  The nymphs on the menu for today are pheasant tails, black bodied stone flies, pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms and little black micro stones.
