Clark Fork River Fishing Report – 6/7

Blackfoot River Guided Float fishingBeginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!

Both the upper and lower sections of the Clark Fork are dropping and getting closer to historical averages, we’re still having issues with clarity. For streamers use a JJ’s special, olive or tan super buggers, sculpzillas, standard buggers or an articulated pattern. The nymphs on the menu for today are pheasant tails, black bodied stone flies, pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms and little black micro stones. If you’re fishing below a clean running tributary, keep your bugs in the dirty/clean seam and work all the water for your best luck.
