Clark Fork River Fishing Report – 7/3

L-LS-3

The Clark Fork is now on the drop after the rain we had last week. We’ll see what this forecasted 90 degree weather will do this week. Fishing hasn’t quite come into shape on the Clark Fork, but our wait needn’t be long. If you see golden stones about, use a big yellow or orange chubby Chernobyl, golden rogues, salmon rogues or Gould’s half downs. For nymphs, use Pat’s rubber legs, micro stones, prince nymphs, double beaded stones, San Juan worms, caddis pupae, Pheasant tails and batman nymphs.  For streamers, use big black and olive patterns fished tight to the banks.
