Clark Fork River Fishing Report – 7/10

Missouri river carp fishing

The Fishing has improved in a big way on this river from the top to the bottom.  Mid day can be a little slower in the bright sun so you might half to go subsurface, but the mornings and evenings have been excellent.  For dries, use elk hair and Goddard caddis’ in the evening, attractor patterns, golden rogues, salmon rogues or Gould’s half downs for the morning and afternoon. For nymphs, use Pat’s rubber legs, micro stones, prince nymphs, double beaded stones, San Juan worms, caddis pupae, Pheasant tails and batman nymphs. For streamers, use big black and olive patterns fished tight to the banks.
