Clark Fork River Fishing Report – 7/8

Clark Fork River Fishing Report - 4/12
Kingfisher Customer Ryan on the Clarkfork 4-9

The Clark Fork has started to fish really well, especially with the lower end coming into shape. We’re looking at a steady graph line down on the charts over the last week. It’s typical summer timing, with good fishing up until 2-ish, and then a solid break in activity until the waning hours of the day. For dries, use elk hair and Goddard caddis, attractor patterns, golden rogues, salmon rogues or Gould’s half downs. For nymphs, use Pat’s rubber legs, micro stones, prince nymphs, double beaded stones, San Juan worms, caddis pupae, Pheasant tails and batman nymphs.  For streamers, use big black and olive patterns fished tight to the banks.
