Missouri Report – 10/25

The Mo is one of my favorite fall rivers.  It’s just wonderful country to be playing in while the season changes around you.  Quiet current seams, delicate dries and big fish in shallow waters – what’s not to like about this??  If you’re a devotee of big ugly stuff instead, the streamer fishing over here in the fall is legendary too and it’s been pretty good lately.  The mahoganies and baetis are still the midday menu, but smaller, dark bodied buggers are fun toys as well.  The tandem nymphing continues to be insanely productive over here, and there really is no equal for both the combination of size and numbers.  Gray scuds, RS2s, lightning bugs, pink Ray Charles, beerheads will all get it done underneath.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES:comparaduns, standard para Adams in a 16-20, dark colored streamers, soft hackles, the traditional bevvy of tailwater nymphs including zebras, rs2s, beerheads, lighting bugs, scuds, red San Juans . . .

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The drive up hwy 200 from Missoula to the junction at Bean Lake is just an added bonus to fishing the Mo this time of year.
