Missouri Report – 10/31

It’s fishing, imagine that!  With a water temperature of about 49 degrees, the fish are still really active and just waiting on the hatches.  When it’s not blowing over here, the dryfly fishing with baetis has been good and should only get better as the hatch intensifies.  Nymphs are an easy way to feed active fish even when conditions are less than ideal on top.  The streamer action is still hanging in there too, and while it isn’t red hot lately, it’s giving up some of those fish that have their own zip code.  If you’re considering heading this way, about the only thing you need to check weather wise is the wind forecast.  Short of getting blown off the water, the Mo will be a great option.
