Missouri Report – 5/30

DSCN1734 The flow below Holter this morning is 4160.  The fishing over here sucks right now with all the clouds, bugs and fish you have to put up with.  Who needs this crap when all you REALLY want are clouds, bugs and fish.  WTH?!   Baetis, some caddis, some midges and even a hopper or two when it warms up (yes, we’ve seen ’em . . haven’t fished them yet, but you never know!)  Pretty much every stretch is “sucking” at this point so it’s really just a matter of choosing the water you like.  While the nymphing and streamer fishing have been consistent, it’s definitely a dryfly, targeting specific fish Nirvana over here right now.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES: Griffith’s gnats 16-20, zebras, baetis parachutes,  button emergers and Lawson/Quigly cripples.  attractor/dropper rigs lower on the river, lightening bugs, RS2, p-tails, scuds, and streamers in muted colors.
