Missouri Report – 9/13

It hasn’t been easy over here lately in the last gasp of summer heat and sun.  There has been some decent morning fishing on the tricos and some opportunistic hopper and nymph gobbling midday, but we are certainly ready for some clouds and a cool down.  For now, we’re getting some fish on some of everything with no one particular patter working the best on top.  Overall, nymphing is still producing the best for us using a variety of standard Mo fare like RS2s, lightning bugs, beerheads, scuds and Ray Charles in gray or red.  Baetis and happy streamer conditions are right around the corner and we’re READY!
