Missouri Report – 9/22

Ohhhhhh . . . .it looks like a happy place over here today!  Clouds and not much wind to speak of should make for some very good end of summer/beginning of fall Missouri fishing!  While the best numbers continue to be subsurface with nymphs, the streamers have gotten much more productive and are taking BIG fish!  Flashback hare’s ears, RS2s and my ever present beerheads are rippin’ em.  Pink Ray Charles, gray scuds and red brassies have also been working.  Smaller purple hoppers or flying ants with tiny nymph droppers on a short least have also been a good rig.  This is a great time of year on the Mo.  Quiet casts with long drifts (and sometimes on 6x) are key for the dries.  Not dropping your Copenhagen or forceps on the bottom of the boat will earn you stealth points too.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES: Elk hairs, comparaduns, tricos, standard para Adams in a 14-18, hoppers in a 10 or 12, dull colored and sparsely tied streamers, soft hackles, the traditional bevvy of tailwater nymphs including zebras, rs2s, beerheads, lighting bugs, scuds . . .

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Lots more elbow room over here these days.
