Missouri River Fishing Report – 10/11

The hatches on the Missouri aren’t behaving exactly the way they’re supposed to this time of year. The Baetis just aren’t a factor right now, which is odd. That said, there are caddis and BWOs and pseudos flying around, and the nymphing is quite good. For dry flies, use cripples, standard Adams parachutes, midge clusters, elk hair caddis, parachute baetis, baetis button emergers, and small flying ants. For subsurface, stick with sow bugs, czech nymphs, caddis pupae, scuds, small PTs, lightning bugs and micro mayflies.
