Missouri River Fishing Report – 3/3

Missouri River Fishing Report - 4/1For spring fishing, The Missouri has been fishing pretty good.  It has been very dependent on the weather conditions, mostly just if its freezing outside or not.  With the coming warmer weather you should see a nice window of midge fishing on top, but you can count on streamers and nymphs to work for sure.  For nymphs use Blood midges, zebra midges, small pheasant tails, and Serendipity’s.  If you see anything on top toss out some Griffith’s gnats, renegades, and midge clusters.  Streamers are turning heads too with standard buggers, dalai lamas, and Sculpzillas.

HATCHES: Midges,

FLIES: Beerheads, micro mayflies, wire worm, scuds, streamers
