The Missouri has dropped a smudge and is still fishing well. The flow below Holter is sitting at 8500 cfs with decent clarity. The weather is supposed to be nice and sunny with very light wind today. This is going to be the best river fishing option without a doubt. You can expect to see other anglers escaping the state wide high flows, so be ready. The bugs hatching right now are March browns, caddis and baetis. Parachute adams in various sizes along with other march brown patterns have been working well along with caddis in the evening. Subsurface bugs on the menu are small red and pink scuds, RS2′s, Ray-Charles, pheasant tails, lightning bugs, caddis pupae and streamers. keep an eye on that indicator and the relative water depth. Getting your bugs in the strike zone is key this time and any time of the year.
