Missouri River Fishing Report – 6/1

Clark Fork River Fishing Report - 4/5Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!The Missouri has stabilized at around 11,000cfs after the calculated multi-day flow release. The fishing has been fair, aside from the flow bump. A boat is effectively a must, although there are still a few spots to wade if you’re shore-ridden. Stick to the nymphs, but don’t be afraid to throw some caddis dries if you see them flying around. The bugs hatching right now are March browns, caddis and baetis. Parachute adams in various sizes along with other march brown patterns have been working well along with caddis in the evening. Subsurface patterns are small red and pink scuds, RS2′s, Ray-Charles, pheasant tails, lightning bugs, caddis pupae and streamers.
