Missouri River Fishing Report – 7/31

Rock Creek Fishing Report - 3/27

L-DSCN2051

The Missouri is starting to see larger quantities of weeds and algae so the chances of wrapping some junk is increasing.  The bugs are out in spades with a ton of Tricos out every day, along with caddis, PMDs, and yellow sallies. Big time hopper fishing isn’t far off, either. For dry flies, we’re looking at tricos, PMD cripples, standard Adams parachutes, midge clusters, elk hair caddis, parachute baetis, baetis button emergers, yellow sallies, and small flying ants. For subsurface, stick with sow bugs, czech nymphs, caddis pupae, scuds, small PTs, lightning bugs and micro marflies. For streamers use black, olive or brown sculpzillas, woolhead sculpins, standard buggers and JJ’s specials.
