Missouri River Fishing Report – 9/28

Missouri River Fishing Report - 4/3

L-3

Much like Missoula, to Missouri didn’t get rain like the forecast had indicated. Even so, the cool weather arrived as planned, but the fishing is still good. Bigger stuff is still working, like caddis, hoppers, and bigger mayflies. Smaller stuff is great, like tricos and pseudos. Nymphing is both good and bad, but certainly worth your time to get some bigger fish. For dry flies, use cripples, standard Adams parachutes, midge clusters, elk hair caddis, parachute baetis, baetis button emergers, small flying ants, and hoppers. For subsurface, stick with sow bugs, czech nymphs, caddis pupae, scuds, small PTs, lightning bugs and micro mayflies.
