Clark Fork River Fishing Report - 3/27

S-4 The water’s down a git today to 2890 and the fishing’s been outstanding over here.  Lots of fish looking up and more and more bugs showing up every day.  Some PMDs, lots of cadds (lots more to arrive), some hoppers here and there . . .  Nymphing is still very good with the smaller pink or grayish tailwater stuff and the streamer fishing has been very good early and late . . like really late (hint, hint).  Fishing mayfly dries with tiny baetis-like dropper nymphs is a no brainer.  Fish are in their summer lies in the unusually low water but this also means the algae will have a heyday over here this year.  Enjoy the New Holland swather free river bottom while you’ve got it, it’s a VERY good time to be on the Mo right now!

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES: Griffith’s gnats 16-20, zebras, baetis (belatedly) parachutes,  button emergers and Lawson/Quigly cripples.  attractor/dropper rigs lower on the river, lightening bugs, RS2, p-tails, scuds, and streamers in muted colors.
