Rock Creek – 11/7

Getting sleepy up here as winter starts coming around the bend.  There is still some decent dryfly action on the upper 1/3 of the creek but it’s gotten much less consistent day to day.  Nymphs are your best bet no matter where you find yourself up here these days and smaller generic mayfly patterns like hare’s ears, p-tails and copper Johns are doing well.  The egg/San Juan rig is also a good place to start if you’re prospecting subsurface.  Streamers have slowed down a bunch but are still taking some fish on the lower river, deeper runs.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES:  Baetis, midges

OTHER INFO: The Kingfisher is Missoula’s oldest flyshop under continual ownership.
