The weather forecasts keep making me look foolish in the hatch reports, so I’m done positing that these will be the last 70-degree days of the year. Just know that, regardless of the weather, Rock Creek is fishing quite well, and is worth your time this fall. For dry flies, use mahoganies, chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, BWOs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.
