The forecast calls for 70 and clear again. This isn’t exactly the fall that we’re used to, but the fishing hasn’t suffered, at least not demonstrably. Mayflies, October caddis and streamers are what you should be focusing on for Rock Creek. For dry flies, use mahoganies, chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, BWOs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.
