Rock Creek Fishing Report – 10/2

Clark Fork River Fishing Report - 4/14

L-5

Clear skies and seasonably mild temperatures are expected from now through next week. It should be good fall fishing on Rock Creek. We’ve heard reports of some bigger brown trout swimming through, so head that way and tie on something ugly. For dry flies, use mahoganies, chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, PMDs, BWOs, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.

Weekend Fishing Tunes: Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate), You Will Eventually Be Forgotten

They’re a part of the recent “emo revival,” and they’re awesome. They’ll be playing a show at the ZACC on October 4th with four other great bands. You won’t want to miss it.

HATCHES: Mahoganies, october caddis, hoppers, PMDs, BWOs, caddis, hecubas

FLIES: Prince nymphs, rogue stone, parachute adams, elk hair caddis, hoppers, stoneflies/nymphs, streamers.
