We might see some rain out on Rock Creek this afternoon-evening. BWOs might benefit accordingly. Things have truly transitioned into fall up here, so if you aren’t out chasing elk, get to Rock Creek for some good streamer action. For dry flies, use October caddis, mahoganies, chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, BWOs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use hare’s ears, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and big green machine nymphs.

 

 

HATCHES: Mahoganies, October caddis, hoppers, PMDs, BWOs, caddis, hecubas, tricos

FLIES: Prince nymphs, rogue stone, parachute adams, elk hair caddis, hoppers, stoneflies/nymphs, streamers.
