The fishing on Rock Creek has been really good, especially underneath the surface, but we’re about to be seeing ice on our guides, so things are going to be tough this week. Tough enough that I might not even recommend leaving the fireplace. For dry flies, use October caddis, mahoganies, chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, BWOs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.
