With the warm weather forecast for the rest of the week, you can expect to see your first real window of dry fly fishing about to kick off soon. It’s still a little early for the skwalas to start popping up here, but the word on the street is they’ve been eating the random chubby if you work it. The nemouras are out but the fishing with them has been just as spotty as the skwalas. Your best bet by far is going to be nymphing until we really see some more consistent action up here. For dries, bring some rogue skwalas, royal chubbies, bullet heads, tiny black stimulators, and midges. For nymphing use double beaded stones, pat’s rubber legs, pheasant tails, Montana princes, dark micro stones, and little midge patterns. The flow is hanging right around 243 cfs and is holding stable. Enjoy the sunshine!
