Rock Creek Fishing Report – 3/14

L-DSC_0224

The skwalas are out and the fish are looking up!  Yesterday was the first reel report of fishing eating skwala dries in any real numbers on the creek.  It was still a little spotty but that could change as soon as today. For dries, bring some rogue skwalas, royal chubbies, bullet heads, tiny black stimulators, and midges. For nymphing use double beaded stones, pat’s rubber legs, pheasant tails, Montana princes, dark micro stones, and little midge patterns. The flow is hanging right around 340 cfs and holding stable. There is the possibility of rain today so definitely bring a jacket.

HATCHES: Midges, ice

FLIES: Prince nymphs, tiny parachute adams, stonefly nymphs, streamers.
