Rock Creek Fishing Report: 4/28

BR-L-24

REPORT:

The creek is up nearly 25% on the lower end compared with yesterday morning.  Water clarity is still good but the graph is heading up big time.  The push of water we’re seeing now won’t last long unless we get a bunch of rain to go along with the wind that’s upon us.  Good fishing on the creek today if you can deal with the gales.  The upper end will likely be your best shot today with water levels on the rise in greater percentage the farther downstream you go.  March browns will still be the goods on top but a HUGE variety of nymphs and darker bodied streamers will work for you subsurface.  It’s supposed to be REALLY windy today and tomorrow.  Water temps are reaching ideal levels with a reading of 47 degrees on the lower end this morning.

FLIES: A variety of caddis patterns in about a #12, comparaduns and cripples in 14s, March brown emergers, double beads, Brooke’s stones and big princes right off the bottom. Buggers both brown and black.

OTHER INFO: Yes, we have the Sage Elite flyrod in stock
