Rock Creek Fishing Report – 4/28

L-DSCN4079

Rock Creek has been dropping all weekend but that’s gonna change with todays warmer weather.  The flow at the bottom is floating around 940cfs with marginal clarity.  You can still find workable water close to the banks and in the side channels but the main stem is pushing some colored water for sure. If you’re heading up here bring some March brown and drake dries but tandem nymph rigs should be a far more productive bet. For nymphs use pheasant tails, hares ears, double beaded stones, egg patterns, Pat’s rubber legs, micro stones, prince nymphs, and San Juan worms.

HATCHES: Midges, March Browns, Skwalas, and Grey Drakes
