Rock Creek is at 1390 cfs and slowly dropping with good clarity. The best fishing has been with nymphs thrown towards the banks. Dry fly opportunities will be more frequent the lower it drops. Walking the banks and looking for pocket water and deeper holes has been the best approach, but the lower flows up high should give you some better wading options. For nymphs use pheasant tails, hares ears, double supermans, Pat’s rubber legs, jigstones, prince nymphs, and San Juan worms. Your best shot at dry fly fishing will be on any side channel or in big eddies.
