Rock Creek Fishing Report – 4/5

Rock Creek has held pretty steady right around 700 cfs. We did here our first report of skwalas on the creek. By no means is it “on”, but skwalas are starting to show up. Upper rock creek will be your best bet. Fishing a dry dropper in walking pace water has been very productive. For nymphs use double beaded stones, pat’s rubber legs, pheasant tails, sparkle stones, little black Sloan’s, and purple lightning bugs. Double dutch bugs, flush floater skwalas, royal chubbies, Amy’s ants in olive, and foamulators are all good choices for skwalas. Throwing streamers is a option as well. Yellow streamers are can be very productive in the spring.
