Rock Creek Fishing Report – 5/19

L-salmonBeginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!

Use big heavy stoneflies under an indicator and toss them as close as you can to pocket water and the banks.  Big black meaty streamers tight lined at the banks is a good option too.  If you do head this way, you may want to consider the upper section since it is a little lower for wade fishing. Georgetown lake is now open along with the tributaries, so you do have other options.  If you head up here be safe and keep an eye out for floating trees.

If you own and iPad 1 or 2, we have 6 MFC original iPad covers to give away. The first people through the door get’em!!! If you come in with a kingfisher tattoo on your forehead you can have two!!!

Browns Lake is iced off, open and fishing well. However, the private land owners surrounding Browns Lake are now enforcing there NO trespass rights. All the bank fishing with the exception of the public land at the south and east sides of the lake is now closed to walking. We have provided a map showing the property lines and places to legally access the lake. The boundaries highlighted with green are open to the public.
