Rock Creek Fishing Report – 5/20

Salmon Fly Fishing on Rock Creek

L-55

Rock Creek has stabilized around 1300 cfs and is running dirty from the recent rain. It is still relatively high for wade fisherman, so head up high on the creek. If your looking to float, Rock Creek is a great option. We are on the cusp of salmon flies and you might even spot one or two flying around. Throwing a chubby with long dropper is a good plan. For dries use royal chubbies, 64 impalas, elk hair caddis, D&D cripples, and carnage drakes. For nymphs use SJ worms, bread crusts, purple princes, and rubberlegs.

HATCHES: baetis, mothers day caddis, grey drakes, skwalas, salmonflies?
