Rock Creek Fishing Report – 5/21

Rock Creek Fishing Report - 4/10

L-DSCN4968Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!

Rock Creek is going to start shooting up again.  If you’re head this way, I’d come in from the top and fish the upper sections to get some lower flows.  If you’re stuck fishing the lower section, look for back channels and braids for easier wading. Big heavy stoneflies and streamers are tough to beat in these conditions.  Keep your junk tight to the banks and you should find a fish or two.  the flow at the mouth is sitting at

If you own and iPad 1 or 2, we have 6 MFC original iPad covers to give away. The first people through the door get’em!!! If you come in with a kingfisher tattoo on your forehead you can have two!!!

Browns Lake is iced off, open and fishing well. However, the private land owners surrounding Browns Lake are now enforcing there NO trespass rights. All the bank fishing with the exception of the public land at the south and east sides of the lake is now closed to walking. We have provided a map showing the property lines and places to legally access the lake. The boundaries highlighted with green are open to the public.
