Rock Creek Fishing Report – 5/29

Clarkfork Fishing report - 4/3

L-BR-1-L
Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!

Rock Creek is a mess. It’s flow at the bottom is just above 3000 cfs and getting ready to go up and down again. Anything over 3000 is certifiably dangerous, specifically in reference to floating, so be careful. Keep your wits about you when you’re wading too. you may be able to find some side channels and braids up at the top end, but it’s going to be spotty. George town lake would be a much more productive option and only a little further out of the way. If you do go out, toss some Prince nymphs, Double-bead Stones, Pat’s Rubber Legs, etc. Keep them deep and tight to the banks.
