Rock Creek Fishing Report – 5/3

Rock Creek has stabilized at 885 cfs and is running clear. Big time hatches have been going on during the heat of the day, with caddis, baetis, drakes, and march browns all on the menu. We have a major heat wave coming our way, so get it while its good! The upper river will be your best bet if you can’t get out till the weekend.  For nymphs use pheasant tails, hares ears, pearl green lightning bugs, purple princes, Pat’s rubber legs, sparkle stones, prince nymphs, and San Juan worms. Streamer fishing has also been a great option. Aztec streamers, articulators, Big Horn buggers, yellow yummies, lil’ kims, and sculpzillas have been solid producers. Enjoy the sunshine!

HATCHES: baetis, March browns, grey drakes, skwalas
