Rock Creek Fishing Report – 5/4

Blackfoot River Fishing Report - 4/5

With the river stabilizing and the clarity starting to improve, the fishing has gotten much better through the week.  The flow is hanging around 1100cfs which makes it much more of a boaters game, but the fishing up high should offer some decent wading options.  The best luck has been on tandem nymph rigs but dry/dropper rigs have been turning some fish too.  The eats on top have been a little less consistent than working subsurface junk.  You should still see some drakes and march browns popping so have a few parachute adams, extended body drakes, and purple hazes for those.  For dry/dropper rigs, use a royal or purple chubby with a batman or prince nymph underneath. Most of your fish are going to be hanging tight to the banks and in the holes, so look for any pocket water off the shoreline for your best luck.

HATCHES: Midges, March Browns, Skwalas, and Grey Drakes
