Rock Creek Fishing Report – 5/8

TUBEE-BROOKIE-2Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!

Well just as expected, Rock Creek is on the drop.  It’s going to be a couple more days before it starts to stabilize and fish again but it’s possible it will happen before the final blow out of high water.  Until then, Beavertail pond just past the Rock Creek exit has been fishing decently.  You’ve also got the Warm Springs settling ponds for another viable option to get your line wet.  Wooley buggers and scuds under an indicator are a good bet for the still waters.

If you own and iPad 1 or 2, we have 6 MFC original iPad covers to give away. The first people through the door get’em!!! If you come in with a kingfisher tattoo on your forehead you can have two!!!

Browns Lake is iced off, open and fishing well. However, the private land owners surrounding Browns Lake are now enforcing there NO trespass rights. All the bank fishing with the exception of the public land at the south and east sides of the lake is now closed to walking. We have provided a map showing the property lines and places to legally access the lake. The boundaries highlighted with green are open to the public.
