Rock Creek Fishing Report – 6/6

Guided Fishing Clark Fork River

L-DSC_0587

rock creeks flows are slowly dropping despite the weather.  We’ll half to wait and see what this 80-90 degree weather does to the flows, but I’m guessing nothing like we’ve seen in the past as far as being short lived.  The salmon flies are in full swing at this point and mostly concentrated to the upper sections, but present on the whole section.  The creek is flowing around 1000cfs which is almost half of normal for this time of year, so get it while you can people!  If you’re heading up here, bring any big top water salmon fly patterns and bigger salmon fly nymphs and you should have pretty good luck. If you do see any drys coming off be prepared with some drakes, BWOs, and caddis for the evening.
