Rock Creek Fishing Report – 6/16

Bitterroot Fishing Report - 4/3

The fishing up here has been an all day deal and definitely worth the trip up.  Things might slow down mid day with the heat but will start right back up around 6 – 7pm.  Hot weather means big time caddis hatches in the evening, and golden stones, PMDs, and yellow sallies available during the rest of the day. Dropping a nymph off your dry is still a good option, too. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs. Darker streamers have also been working.

HATCHES: A few Salmon Flies, Golden stones, BWOs, PMDS, yellow sallies
