Rock Creek Fishing Report – 6/24

L-92

REPORT:

What more can we say other than, “you should go”!! You have 7 more days that you can fish from a boat on the creek, so if you’ve been putting it off, better get it done soon. Drakes, PMDs, golden stones, caddis, it’s all good right now. Rain or shine, you can expect good topwater action with decent nymphing and streamer fishing as well. Larger cripple patterns (size 10) have been working well for us up here as have emergers and larger parachutes. When the sun does manage to peek out, golden stones in about all sizes are getting the fish to play. You’ll start seeing caddis later in the day and on warm evenings, they’ll keep the fishing going almost ’till dark.

FLIES:golden stones patterns from giant to yellow sallie varieties, green drakes, PMDs, caddis

OTHER INFO: More summer patterns arriving weekly. Stop into the shop and Missoula’s best fly selection.
