Rock Creek Fishing Report – 7/3

Bitterroot River Fishing Report - 3/29

L-DSC_0745

Float fishing season is over on Rock Creek as of this morning. It’s all wade fishing now, which is good news, because the flows are under 1000cfs and dropping fast. Golden stones, caddis, and green drakes are the ticket now, as the salmonflies have tapered off considerably. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes and para wulffs.  For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.  Streamers have been working well too with big dark bodied junk working best.
