Rock Creek Fishing Report – 7/15

Clark Fork River Fishing Report - 3/27

We’ve seen some pretty stellar fishing on Rock Creek this spring and early summer. As we get further along, morning and evenings will be the primary fishing times, but for now, it’s staying relatively productive during the middle of the day. Hot weather means big time caddis hatches in the afternoon, and golden stones, PMDs, and yellow sallies available during the rest of the day. Dropping a nymph off your dry is still a good option, too. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs. Darker streamers have also been working.
