Rock Creek Fishing Report – 7/26

L-49

The flow on rock creek is right at 285 cfs and fishing very well. Water temps have been getting above 70 degrees so, mornings will be your best shot. Spruce Moths have been spotted so, they should come off pretty hard here soon. There are caddis hatches in the evening, and golden stones, PMDs, and yellow sallies available during the rest of the day. Dropping a nymph off your dry is still a good option, too. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs. Darker streamers have also been working.

HATCHES: golden stones, PMDs, yellow sallies, caddis, green drakes, hoppers
