Rock Creek Fishing Report – 7/6

Clark Fork Fishing Report - 4/1

Down below 800cfs now, Rock Creek is primed for great wade fishing in the coming weeks. Expect a crowd even larger than normal for this 4th of July weekend. Golden stones, caddis, and green drakes are the ticket now, as the salmonflies have tapered off considerably. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes and para wulffs.  For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.  Streamers have been working well too with big dark bodied junk working best.

Weekend Fishing Tunes: Gary Clark Jr., Blak and Blu

Awesome blues and R&B guitarist/singer out of Austin, TX. Also a childhood friend/neighbor of mine.

HATCHES: salmonflies, golden stones, green drakes

FLIES: Prince nymphs, rogue stone, carnage stone, parachute adams, salmonflies/nymphs, streamers.
